Slack is experiencing app glitches at the moment. Users have reported messages which are vanishing and reappearing spontaneously. This platform is used worldwide by various companies to allow their workers to communicate and do some work online. Now that Slack is down, a lot of people are stuck.

The following features are integrated in Slack:

  • Chat rooms
  • Video calls
  • Voice calls
  • Direct messaging
  • Private groups

Why Slack is down

It’s not clear what has caused the problem with platform. Files, messages and other shareable content can be accessed within the platform.

The problem has affected devices on all platforms, whether Android, iOS, MacOS or Windows. Other users are not affected, and not all regions have reported problems.

This issue has to be resolved as soon as possible because with the current lockdown, a lot of people are working from home.

Slack has confirmed on their page that they are looking into the matter:

“Some people may be having an issue with Slack. We’re currently investigating and will have more information shortly. Thank you for your patience.”

Hide your IP address when using Slack. Choose the best VPN to maintain security. The best people can do is to wait for service to be restored. Restarting your device seems not to be working.

More to come…

The issue was resolved and messages can be sent with no problems. An update was given by Slack:

“Customers affected by issues with files and messages should no longer be having trouble. Apologies for the disruption to your day and thank you for your patience.”
